SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The best cure for spring fever is a trip to the Minnesota Home & Patio Show. The show, now in its 37th year, runs Thursday, February 18 through Sunday, February 21 at Saint Paul RiverCentre.
The Home & Patio Show is the perfect place to get inspired about spring projects. Nearly 300 local and national exhibitors will be on hand to offer creative solutions for all home project needs, both inside and outside the home. Experts include architects, interior designers, contractors, remodelers, landscaping firms and building suppliers. Products range from windows and doors to bathroom and kitchen fixtures, cabinetry, flooring, furnishings, and energy-efficient furnaces, roofs and siding. If it's new on the market, you'll find it at the Home & Patio Show.
Making his first appearance at the Home & Patio Show is author and renowned home expert Boyce Thompson. His daily presentations feature the top ten life-changing new home products for 2016. Amy Hanten, "The Cooking Mom," returns to the show for her second year. This Midwest mom's passion is getting families back to the table with quick and easy recipes for busy people. She'll be appearing daily on the Home & Patio Show Celebrity Stage. Chef Marcus McGee shares his culinary secrets on Saturday and Sunday only. Geoff Griep, from GR Builders and Remodelers, has been featured on DIY's "Bath Crashers." He'll be offering seminars at the show Friday through Sunday.
Show favorite Don Engebretson, the Renegade Gardener, will be at the show every day, as will Bobby Jensen from KARE 11's "Grow with KARE." Other gardening seminars, presented by members of the Minnesota State Horticultural Society, will cover a wide variety of topics.
Spring will be in full bloom in the Outdoor Living and Garden Area. Created by area landscapers and nurseries, the gardens showcase native plants, water features, hardscaping materials and inviting outdoor living spaces. Products and services in this area are designed to make our outdoor spaces as comfortable and welcoming as those inside our homes.
The Trending Kitchen and Bath Idea Center showcases the most innovative products, technology and designs available for kitchens and baths. At the IFDA (International Furnishings and Design Association) Design Center, free consultations on design projects and trends will be offered by professional designers. Members of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) will also be on hand.
The Home & Patio Show will be open Thursday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $9 for adults, $5 for military members and seniors, and $2.50 for children ages 6-12. Children 5 and under are admitted free of charge. The show is produced by Cenaiko Productions, Inc.
