Minnesota Historical Society presents Spooky and Spectacular Events all October
Spooky and Spectacular Events at MNHS Sites All October
The Minnesota Historical Society is preparing to celebrate the ghoulish side of history at historic sites around the state in October.
New this year, explore the creepiest items in the MNHS collections—from death masks to a hexed marionette—during a Haunted History Collections Tour at the Minnesota History Center. Also join James J. Hill House and Combustible Company for Bluebeard’s Dollhouse, an immersive theater experience that combines a murderous fairy tale and the Ibsen classic “A Doll’s House.”
For family-friendly fun, explore fall in the Northwoods—while keeping an eye out for Sasquatch—during Spooky Timbers at Forest History Center, or explore Mexican-American culture and honor ancestors during Day of the Dead Family Day. Families can also work on their detective skills during CSI: Fort Snelling and Mystery at the Fur Post.
Visit the MNHS calendar for a full list of spooky events in October.
