Following a string of festival appearances in 2012, dream-pop greats Mazzy Star have announced a tour behind their upcoming album Seasons of Your Day (out September 24 in the U.S. and September 23 in the UK via their own Rhymes of an Hour label). They'll hit North America in November.
Seasons of Your Day is Mazzy Star's first album in 17 years. It was recorded by the original Mazzy Star lineup, co-written and co-produced by Hope Sandoval and David Roback in California and Norway. It features contributions from the late Bert Jansch and My Bloody Valentine's Colm Ó Cíosóig. Listen to new track "California" here.

SEASONS OF YOUR DAY
Co-written by Hope Sandoval and David Roback, Seasons Of Your Day was recorded in California and Norway. The album features performances by all the original members of Mazzy Star along with special guests including Colm OCiosoig (My Bloody Valentine) and a special appearance by the late, legendary Bert Jansch in a guitar duet of chilling intensity with David Roback on the song Spoon.
Seasons Of Your Day was produced by David Roback and Hope Sandoval. The album is being released on their own label, Rhymes Of An Hour Records, distributed through INgrooves. Formats will include CD, 180g vinyl double LP, and digital download.
Seasons Of Your Day is Mazzy Stars fourth studio LP, preceded by She Hangs Brightly (1990), So Tonight That I Might See (1993) and Among My Swan (1996). Seasons Of Your Day is the second release on Rhymes Of An Hour Records and follows the single Common Burn / Lay Myself Down (2011).
