Marin Restaurant & Bar Celebrates Halloween with Murder Mystery Dinner and DJ Dance Party
MINNEAPOLIS (October 16, 2015) — Marin Restaurant & Bar is offering two ways to celebrate Halloween this year: a 3-course murder mystery dinner or a DJ-fueled Halloween dance party, both held in the restaurant’s downstairs Library Bar.
On Saturday, October 31, starting at 6:30 p.m. Marin presents “Murder in the Library,” an interactive murder mystery dinner where guests are invited to participate in the show. Enjoy an evening of intrigue and a 3-course dinner prepared by Chef Mike Rakun, complete with wine pairings and a spot in the drama. The menu begins with an amuse course of Scallop Crudo with honey crisp apples, followed by Butternut Squash Soup, Bison Ribeye with root vegetables, and finished with a grown-up version of a classic Halloween favorite: Marin’s take on a candy bar with almonds and chocolate.
Following dinner, the costume party starts with Minneapolis DJ Ken Hannigan (best known for his legendary dance parties at Minneapolis hotspot, Honey) spinning the best of the 90s, hip hop bangers, and throwback jams. Special spooky cocktails, such as the Beetle Juice with spiced rum, lavender syrup, raspberry liquor, and milk, will be available. Doors open at 9p.m. and there is no cover. All drink purchases are cash bar. Additionally, there will be a midnight costume contest with the grand prize of a one-night stay at the Le Meridien Chambers and brunch for two at Marin.
Tickets to the Murder Mystery Dinner are $75 per person, not including tax and gratuity. For reservations or more information, please call 612.252.7000 or e-mail events@marinrestaurant.com. Tickets are not required after 9 p.m.
