MINNEAPOLIS – Textile Center is proud to be a sponsor of North Star Farm Tour, a self-guided tour featuring 20 farms across the greater Twin Cities region on Saturday & Sunday, Sept. 28 & 29, 2019 from 10 am – 5 pm.

In collaboration with North Star Farm Tour and fashion designers Tim and Thom Navarro (TIM+THOM), Textile Center is pleased to participate in a farm-raised natural fiber to haute couture garment project. The final garments will be revealed at North Star Farm Tour’s “Cocktails & Couture” event at Windswept Hill Farm Friday, Sept. 27, 2019, and also showcased in Textile Center’s 25th Anniversary Gala Fashion Show Monday, Oct. 21, 2019.

Try your hand at felting! As a sponsor of North Star Farm tour, Textile Center will be onsite at multiple farm locations doing “make-and-take” felting projects with the Minnesota Feltmakers Guild.

North Star Farm Tour is a weekend full of tours, fiber animals, fibers and food products for sale, and many demonstrations and farm activities for all ages. Fiber fans will also have a chance to take “selfies” with fiber producing lambs, goats, alpacas, and Jericho, the mildmannered yak, whose long horns earned him a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.
