BNW Holiday Show Examines the Evolution of the Season's Traditions
"I Saw Daddy Marry Santa Claus" Runs November 7 - February 1
Minneapolis, MN -- The Brave New Workshop's annual holiday show has always made its satirical mark with sketches about our seasonal traditions, both good and bad. But this year, the show will include even more emphasis on the evolution of holiday traditions, be they Christian or non-, classic or newly integrated.
"Christmas is a time of traditions, but times are changing," says BNW artistic co-director Caleb McEwen. "Just because things aren't exactly the same as they were in the past doesn't mean the world is coming to an end, and this show will explore that. In fact, you might just discover that the way things were wasn't quite as great as you remember." As with the BNW's holiday shows from years past, the cast will expand on this idea, expertly balancing laugh-out-loud comedy with sharp satire.
"I Saw Daddy Marry Santa Claus" will begin its satirical takeover of the holiday season with previews starting November 7, and the show officially opening on Friday, November 15.
