Hear the World Exhibit at Mall of America® to feature larger-than-life celebrity ambassador portra
Bloomington, Minn. (Nov. 18, 2011) - Hearing loss is a condition that affects 16 percent of the worlds population that is one in every six people worldwide. To raise awareness about hearing loss, The Hear the World exhibit and screening event will come to Mall of America® from Nov. 19 Dec. 3, Mon.Sat.: 10 a.m. 9:30 p.m., Sun.: 11 a.m. 7 p.m. The exhibit will feature a portrait gallery of renowned celebrities such as Sting, Julianne Moore and Michael Buble who are ambassadors for Hear the World a global initiative by hearing instrument manufacturer Phonak.
Each larger-than-life image features a celebrity ambassador in the conscious pose of hearing with one hand cupped behind the ear. Their mission is to educate the public about hearing loss and solutions to treat it. Visitors will receive a free hearing screening and be able to talk to local hearing health professionals that will be on hand to provide information on hearing loss prevention and treatment.
