HARD ROCK CAFE UNVEILS MALL OF AMERICA® LOCATION

Media-Exclusive Hard Hat Tours Showcase New Cafe and Memorabilia Collection

WHAT: Hard Rocks long-awaited return to Minnesota is here! Hard Rock Cafe Mall of America will host hard hat tours on Tuesday, August 19 and Wednesday, August 20, 2014, with a memorabilia showcase and media preview at the new location in the heart of Mall of America®. Media are invited for an exclusive, first look at the brand-new location before the cafe opens to the public in late August.

Hard Rocks Music and Memorabilia Historian, Jeff Nolan, will be on hand to provide media preview tours and offer background on the iconic pieces chosen to grace the walls of this exciting new dining and entertainment venue. Nolan will discuss the unique history behind each piece of the cafes music museum-like artifacts, which have been handpicked by Hard Rocks expert team of memorabilia designers, led by Giovanni Taliaferro.

Notable memorabilia at Hard Rock Cafe Mall of America includes a Swarovski crystal bodysuit worn by Rihanna during her Last Girl on Earth tour; a jacket worn by Jimi Hendrix while filming the movie Rainbow Bridge; a Jose Ramirez Model 1A guitar played by George Harrison of the Beatles; a dress worn by Lady Gaga at the Polaroid press conference; a suit worn by Prince during his Sign o the Times tour and a set of lyrics written by Bruce Springsteen for his 1975 Born to Run album.

The new Hard Rock Cafe Mall of America will offer guests an experience fit for a rock star in a new state-of-the-art facility showcasing Hard Rocks updated look and latest technology. The new 15,000-square foot Hard Rock Cafe location will seat 400 guests, feature private event space, a live music stage with capacity for 1,200 guests, two spacious bars, a 750-square foot Rock Shop retail store and an interactive Rock Wall Wall Solo - a 52 high-resolution interactive touch wall that enables fans to virtually explore the worlds greatest music memorabilia collection. The new location will continue to feature authentic American fare and one-of-a-kind memorabilia from international artists.
