GOTTA DANCE! GALA TO KICK OFF THE COWLES CENTERS SECOND SEASON
Minneapolis, MN July 24, 2011: Gotta Dance! The 2nd Annual Gala for The Cowles Center for Dance and the Performing Arts will be held Friday September 7 at The Depot in downtown Minneapolis. The evenings event will include a cocktail hour, dinner, live auction and performances by both local and national acts. Kathie and Bob Goodale will be recognized as Honorary Chairs and Page and John (Jay) Cowles III are the co-chairs for this years event.
Among the evenings performers are hip hop artist, B-Boy J-Sun and members of his breaker crew, Buckets and Tap Shoes, Mu Daiko and internationally acclaimed, dancer-illusionists, MOMIX. The evening will be capped off by a late night dance party, Raze the Barre, beginning at 9 pm under The Shed at The Depot. The dance will feature Adam Levys all-star cover band Hookers and Blow and DJ Flipside. It is open to the public, tickets are $20 and available at www.thecowlescenter.org.
Tables and individual tickets are still available for The Cowles Center Gala, but are limited. To purchase either a table for ten or individual tickets at a regular or VIP level, please contact The Cowles Centers Development Department at 612.206.3623. Individual tickets are $250 and VIP tickets are $500. Tables are available for $2500 or $5000 and corporate sponsorships are available, as well.
The Cowles Center for Dance and the Performing Arts
The Cowles Center for Dance and the Performing Arts is the Twin Cities' newest arts center and the flagship for dance in Minnesota. Centrally located in downtown Minneapolis, The Cowles Center includes the newly refurbished 500-seat Goodale Theater; the Hennepin Center for the Arts, home to 20 leading dance and performing arts organizations; the state-of-the-art Target Education Studio, housing The Cowles Centers distance learning program; and the new U.S. Bank Atrium.
