FIRST AVENUE WEEKLY PRESS RELEASE

On Saturday, September 9, Minneapolis rapper Prof returns to the Cabooze Outdoor Plaza for his fourth annual “Prof Outdoors Blowout”. This year’s party will also feature the first ever show from Shredders—a local super group featuring P.O.S, Sims, Lazerbeak, and Paper Tiger. Following “the biggest show in the history of Prof,” the After Party rolls inside The Cabooze with more from Twin Cities artists, including DJ D.Mil, Manchita with Bionik, GainesFM, babyghost, and more. Tickets are on sale now.
Vance Joy will be in the Twin Cities on Thursday, October 12 for his first ever headlining gig at First Avenue’s Mainroom. Amy Shark and Chappell Roan open the show. Tickets go on sale to the public on sale this Friday, August 25 at 10 a.m.
Flying Lotus returns to First Avenue on Wednesday, November 15 with “In 3D”, a “thrillingly immersive spectacle (The Guardian)” that made its debut this past July at Los Angeles’ FYF Festival. Tickets for this show go on sale to the public this coming Friday, August 25 at noon.
This week’s featured event:
2 Chainz is back in Minnesota and he’s bringing along his Trap Choir in support of his new, highly acclaimed record, Pretty Girls Like Trap Music. The Grammy Award-winning artist makes his Palace Theatre debut with support from Young Dolph. Due to a recent leg injury, 2 Chainz will be performing in a pink wheelchair, a nod to Pretty Girls’ iconic album art. Tickets are still available for this show.
