FIRST AVENUE WEEKLY PRESS RELEASE
Following a string of performances in support of Arcade Fire this fall, Canadian indie-rockers Wolf Parade embark on a headlining tour of North America and Europe this winter. Along with the full tour, the group just announced the forthcoming release of their first full-length album in over seven years, Cry Cry Cry (due out on October 6). Their headlining tour features support from grunge-pop outfit Charly Bliss. See them at First Avenue on Friday, October 27.
Spend your Halloween weekend with Umphrey’s McGee at the Palace Theatre! We just announced two back-to-back headlining dates with the jam legends on Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28 in St. Paul. Both nights feature support from Sudanese soul artist Sinkane. Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 28.
This week’s featured event:
Social Distortion stop at the Palace Theatre this Wednesday, July 26 with hot new act Jade Jackson. Frontman Mike Ness produced Jackson’s new album, Gilded, and she’s garnered comparisons to such icons as Merle Haggard, Rosie Flores, and Dwight Yoakam. Ness has also hinted at some brand-new music in the works. Don’t miss them tomorrow night in St. Paul.
