Of Soul Asylum’s Twin Cities roots, frontman Dave Pirner told Billboard, “It was kind of like the three musketeers of the local punk rock scene trying to make something out of themselves…we had an amazing amount of blind ambition.” The band returns to the First Avenue Mainroom on Friday, December 27 with Local H and Porcupine.
After swiftly selling out a two-night residency in the 7th St Entry this November, First Avenue welcomes Poliça to the Mainroom with Wilsen on Friday, April 10. When We Stay Alive is due out January 31—just in time for you to learn all the lyrics before Poliça’s Mainroom show.
At the young age of 22, Noah Kahan releases “an emotionally intelligent and inquisitive album whose melodies and lyrics are sure to stick with us as a musical wellspring of inspiration, validation, and refuge,” (Atwood Magazine).
