FIRST AVENUE WEEKLY PRESS RELEASE: Tuesday, May 28, 2019

JUST ANNOUNCED:
DJ Dave Paul and DJ Marco take over the First Avenue Mainroom for the All That 90s Party to break down and reconstruct the decade. Join them on Saturday, July 27 as they spin rap, R&B, new Jack swing, house, grunge, alternative, electronic, and pop music for those missing the 90s.
Lucy Dacus is done thinking small. Her newest release, Historian, finds her unafraid to take on the big questions—the life-or-death reckonings, and the ones that just feel that way. It's a record full of bracing realizations, tearful declarations, and moments of hard-won peace. Catch her at the Cedar Cultural Center on Saturday, October 12.
Rising country star Ryan Bingham returns to the First Avenue Mainroom on Sunday, October 27. Bingham has ranged from Woody Guthrie-style folk songs and Spanish-language balladry to gritty hard rock. It’s all-American music; and fittingly, he has previously been honored as the Americana Music Association’s Artist of the Year.
FEATURED SHOW:
The Pump and Dump Show is back in the Twin Cities with the 2019 Parentally Incorrect Tour. Comedians Shayna Ferm and Tracey Tee return with a new show encouraging moms everywhere to put themselves first for a change and laugh, commiserate and celebrate the hilarious and (sometimes) horrific things that bond us in motherhood. Whether you’re a new mom desperately seeking a connection with other human adults, or you and your mom friends need a good excuse to go out, any reason is a good one to check out The Pump and Dump Show at The Fitzgerald Theater on Thursday, June 6.
