Soundset is back, which means the Official Soundset Before and After Parties return to First Avenue to help kick-off and close-out the Rhymesayers-produced festival.

The Soundset Before Party with The Klituation features Jungle Pussy with special guests Sa-Roc, Nikki Jean, Lady Midnight, Maria Isa, Manchita, Newblackcity, DJ Keezy, DJ Sarah White, DJ Adora Tokyo, DJ Ari Atari, and is hosted by Mica Grimm in the First Avenue Mainroom on Saturday, May 26. The Klituation is a dance party created by and for women, women-identifying, non-conforming, and queer women, and features an all women cast in music, fashion design, visual arts, and dance.

Rhymesayers & Plain Ole Bill bring us the Official Soundset After Party with Bun B, one half of southern rap duo UGK from Houston. The night also features DJ K-Salaam, Astralblak FKA ZULUZULUU, MInk, Plain Ole Bill, Supreme La Rock, King Otto, DJ Tarik Thornton, and is hosted by Brother Ali in the First Avenue Mainroom on Sunday, May 27.

Har Mar Superstar is bringing us more of Har Mar Superstar sings Sam Cooke, now at the Fitzgerald Theater on Saturday, June 23. Tickets are on sale now.

89.3 The Current presents Neko Case with special guest Thao (of the Get Down Stay Down) at the Palace Theatre on Thursday, September 6. Tickets are on sale this Friday, April 20 at 10:00 a.m.

This weekend Erotic City features Lenka Paris, DJ Shannon Blowtorch, DJ Espada, Roy Freedom, and DJ Smitty on Saturday, April 21. The following morning, parents can bring their children to Baby You’re A Star (A Kids Dance Party) featuring DJ Jake Rudh and DJ Smitty, and fun activities. Kids under 12 are free with an accompanied parent or legal guardian.
