The Minnesotan-inspired restaurant offers something fun for everyone throughout the month of October such as its Pink Dinner to support Breast Cancer Awareness, an evening with the James Beard Foundation and its Taste of America event “A Night of Culinary Stars,” and more. Pink Dinner to Benefit Minnesota Breast Cancer Coalition
On Thursday, October 13, 2016 starting at 6 p.m. guests can show their support in the search to find a cure for breast cancer by indulging in a decadent four-course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Jim Kyndberg utilizing an array of “pink” ingredients paired with rosé wines. Guests can enjoy dishes including Pink Shrimp and Grits with sumac, tomatoes, and fennel paired with Loimer Rosé from Austria and Pink Velvet Cheesecake with mammo graham crust, and Amarena cherries paired with Juve y Camps Brut Rosé Cava. The four-course prix-fixe dinner is $45 per person with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Minnesota Breast Cancer Coalition.

Beyond the Blue Ribbon Chopped Challenge
Executive Chef Dinesh Jayawardena competes in the Beyond the Blue Ribbon Chopped Challenge held in the Mall of America Rotunda on Sunday, October 23, 2016. Chef Dinesh competes with seven other chefs cooking in a “Chopped Kitchen”-inspired cook-off including the ingredient basket opening held in front of a live audience where the chefs create a dish utilizing the ingredients in the basket. The top four chefs to win move on to the final round held on Veteran’s Day on Friday, November 11, 2016.
Champagne Sabering Event
For those looking to wow their guests at upcoming holiday and New Year’s Eve parties, FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar Mall of America hosts a Champagne Sabering event on Thursday, October 20, 2016. Led by Dan Sobiech of JC Boisset, the event will teach guests how to properly saber a bottle of champagne, through a hands-on interactive experience. The event starts at 6:00 p.m. and reservations can be made by dialing 952.851.4040. Light bites will be provided throughout the evening, and additional champagnes available include Charles de Fere Jean-Louis Brut, Buena Vista La Victoire Brut Champagne, and more. Guests who purchase and saber a bottle of champagne will enjoy a 10% discount in FireLake that evening.
James Beard Foundation Taste of America “A Night of Culinary Stars”
FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar and Radisson Blu Mall of America host the Twin Cities James Beard Foundation’s Taste of America event, A Night of Culinary Stars, on Friday, October 28 at 6:30 p.m. Hosted by Chef Jose Garces, Chef Thomas Boemer, and Chef Michelle Gayer, the event features a cocktail reception with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres from local chefs and restauranteurs including Chef Dinesh Jayawardena from FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar.
