FIRELAKE DOWNTOWN ANNOUNCES STATELY FARE EVENT ON AUGUST 21 IN CELEBRATION OF THE MINNESOTA STATE FAIR

WHAT:

Paying homage to the Great Minnesota Get Together, is FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar located in the heart of Downtown Minneapolis. Taking place on Thursday, August 21^st, the restaurant will feature a festive State Fair-inspired meal, kicking off the two week long Minnesota State Fair. In addition to a four-course tasting menu and appetizers, FireLake will offer guests in attendance the chance to play classic midway games such as ring toss, ping pong in the wine glass, hula hoop, basketball shots and more.

MENU:

The reception will feature appetizers on a stick including mini donut sliders; bbq pork meatballs with poblano glaze; lamb pie with pickled figs along with frozen bites of compressed watermelon and Prairie Vodka and cucumber with Prairie Gin. The signature cocktail for the evening will be the Watermelon Fizz, featuring watermelon juice, muddled basil, Bacardi Limon and lemon soda.

For dinner, the First Course will be Bison Carpaccio with Prairie Breeze white cheddar and corn nuts with Zardetto Prosecco; Second Course is comprised of Native Crawfish with popcorn grits and corn shoots, paired with Can Feixes Blanc Seleccio; Third Course of Suckling Pig Porchetta with sweet corn polenta, beet greens and bacon with Au Bon Climat Pinot Noir and Fourth Course of Blueberry Clafouti with sweet corn ice cream and kettle corn, paired with Ceretto Moscato dAsti.
