J-Sun mentors the next generation of breaking, house, funkstyles
and rocking choreographers in the performance
Minneapolis, MN, January 14, 14 The Cowles Center for Dance & the Performing Arts brings back B-boy J-Sun and his crew for their third and final installment of Hip Hop. February 21 23. This continuation of last years Hip Hop! explores the elements of Hip Hop, traditionally performed on the streetstransformed for the theater. J-Sun and others experiment with themes of battling with oneself, everyday life, insecurities, and strengths told with a Hip Hop twist.
This years production will feature breaking, popping, housing, and rocking. This time B-Boy J-Sun is joined by fellow choreographers Arturo Miles, "Dancin Dave" Marcotte, Osmund Dris, Jake "Boogie B" Riley and Wealthy Phonseya. Charles "Step Child" Thorstad, Anne "AnnieUp" Aldag and Nicki Cullinan return to the stage once again as well. Join as the origin of breaking is explored with DJ King Otto and take a trip around the world with Stefon "BIONIK" Taylor.
