FILM SOCIETY ANNOUNCES PARTIES AND EVENTS at the 37th MINNEAPOLIS ST. PAUL INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

MINNEAPOLIS – March 30, 2018. The Film Society of Minneapolis St. Paul today announced its lineup of parties and events at this year’s 37th Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival (MSPIFF). The Festival returns April 12-28, 2018, bringing 158 new feature films and 120+ shorts representing 70+ countries to audiences throughout the Upper Midwest.
MSPIFF is not only the premier regional showcase for films, it also brings people together, including filmmakers from around the world, for parties and social events combining live music, entertainment, and cinema. The MSPIFF Filmmaker Meetup at Surly Brewing Company returns for its fourth year! Local filmmakers will meet and mingle with their colleagues, including local directors whose films are appearing at MSPIFF. Guests will enjoy complimentary appetizers and a cash bar serving Surly’s famous beer. Film Society programmers and organizers will also be on hand to discuss all the happenings at this year’s Festival.

Join us at the Aster River Room at 6PM for appetizers and a cash bar, then walk down to the St. Anthony Main Theatre for the discussion and a preview of select films at 7:00, followed by a special screening of director Whit Stillman’s Love and Friendship (2016).
