Where Are They Now?
Sunday, November 17, from 1-3 p.m., at Eastman Nature Center, in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Dayton. The weather is changing and the animals are making adjustments for the colder temperatures. Find out what happens to our local residents in the fall. Touch the furs and feathers of some of our winter residents. This program is free and open to all ages.
Walk With an Artist
Sunday, November 17, from 2-3 p.m., at Silverwood Park, St. Anthony. Stop in and meet Silverwoods gallery coordinator for a look at our current show and a chance to discover more about the artists who have contributed work to the park. Head outside for an artist-led walk to explore the parks sculptures and discover more about the artists, the work, and the meanings of the pieces installed along our beautiful trails! This program is free and open to all ages.
Natural Ornaments and Gifts
Saturday, November 23, from 10 a.m.-noon, at Kroening Interpretive Center, in North Mississippi Regional Park, Minneapolis. The holidays are fast approaching! Join us to make some natural decorations and gifts to decorate your home this holiday season. We will create three individual projects, go on a small hike to collect natural materials, and learn about some ways to have a greener holiday season. Cost is $5 and reservations are required. Candle Making Workshop
Saturday, November 23, from 1-4 p.m., at Eastman Nature Center, in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Dayton. Create unique candles for your holiday celebrations! Learn basic candle-making skills as you create hand-dipped and hand-rolled candles, birthday candles, cookie cutter candles, and floating candles. Create a festive candle holder as well. Beeswax and soy wax will be provided. Reservations are required. Cost is $15 and reservations are required. Call 763-559-6700 to make a reservation and reference activity number #412201-04.
