Info: Explore Downtown Living is a FREE event that lets you tour Downtown Minneapolis and all it has to offer at your own pace. On September 21, visit 16 residential communities and see their roof decks, residential units, party rooms, fitness centers & more up close—all while learning about their surrounding neighborhoods and getting a sense of what the community has to offer.
The event offers first-time tour looks at Ironclad, City Club Apartments, and Rafter.

The downtown residential population continues to rise. Now at 49,781, downtown added 6,325 residents last year. Downtown’s population has increased by 56 percent since 2006 and continues to rise. Explore Downtown Living showcases what each neighborhood has to offer, both inside residential properties and out in the community (restaurants, parks, shopping, healthcare, etc.).
Through four previous events, Explore Downtown Living showcased more than 21,000 unit tours.
Explore Downtown Living is produced by the mpls downtown council’s Intersections: The Downtown 2025 Plan’s Development Committee in partnership with Target and Mpls.St.Paul Magazine. It’s goal is to help the 2025 plan’s efforts to double the downtown population to 70,000 by the year 2025.
