Based on Disneys animated film and hit Broadway musical, The Little Mermaid features all the favorite songs including Under The Sea and Part of Your World, as well as new songs written by Oscar-winning Disney composer Alan Menken, the mastermind behind Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and Pocohontas. Lyrics are by Howard Ashman and Glen Slater with a book by Doug Wright.
Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS), Houstons acclaimed non-profit musical theatre company, will kick off Disneys The Little Mermaid in Houston this September followed with productions in four other cities including Minneapolis. After closing on Broadway in 2009, Disneys The Little Mermaid underwent two years of intensive work to fine-tune the production.
