TOKYO, Oct. 28, 2016 –Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) today announced the launch of a travel blog in cooperation with its Japanese in-flight magazine Sky. Delta and Sky magazine work together to deliver travel tips, introduce in-flight services, and present Delta hub information, such as hotels, shops, and restaurants of the featured Delta destinations, as well as the latest information provided by the official travel bureaus of select U.S. cities.
At the outset, the blog mainly features destinations where passengers can easily access Delta’s new Haneda– Minneapolis/St. Paul and Haneda-Los Angeles route as part of the celebration of the launch and the flight schedule change from nighttime to daytime at Haneda.
The new blog titled “Delta Sky Travel Blog” is located under the existing Sky Japan website at www.deltasky.jp, and new posts will be continuously added by Delta Sky editors, writers, photographers, and Delta employees who travel to Delta destinations to produce the magazine contents, Delta brochures, etc. The opening contents include detailed information on the Minneapolis and Los Angeles airport facilities, city attractions of the twin cities Minneapolis and St. Paul, music theme landmarks in Minneapolis including Prince Trail, as well as Nashville sightseeing information. Nashville is one of the Delta destinations where the Haneda–Minneapolis route provides a great connection to visit the city.
Masaru Morimoto, Delta’s Managing Director of Japan and Micronesia commented, “This is what both the Delta and Sky magazine teams always wanted to do, namely, sharing their travel experience and tips with Delta’s existing and potential passengers so that our customers can utilize ‘real’ information to plan their next trip. We hope this blog will be of some help to our passengers and also provide fun information about U.S. destinations.”
Delta is launching the new Haneda to Minneapolis/St. Paul flight on Sunday October 30, and at the same time, the Haneda to Los Angeles flight will be changed from the current nighttime schedule to a new daytime schedule as of the same day (October 30).
