Minneapolis, Minn. January 11, 2012 The Cowles Center for Dance and the Performing Arts brings Hollywood style to the Twin Cities. If you like Dancing with the Stars then you will love Beyond Ballroom Dance Company (BBDC). The countrys only Ballroom dance theater company will present three performances in The Goodale Theater February 3rd through 5th.

These competitive champions are committed to presenting ballroom dance not as a sport, but as an art form. Company members have gone from dancing against one another on the competitive floor, to working in collaboration to create productions that blend the technical expertise of competitive ballroom dance with the artistry of concert dance.

Beyond Ballroom will premiere two new pieces during their production at The Cowles Center; MatchMen is the story of one womans hesitant foray into the world on online dating and Night & Day, which contrasts the classic images of ballroom dancing with BBDCs modern style.
