CINCO DE MAYO CELEBRATION MINNEAPOLIS 2015

On 27th Ave S. Minneapolis and Minnehaha Ave. in South Minneapolis

On Sunday May 3, 2015, we invite the community to share with us the Annual CINCO DE MAYO CELEBRATION on 27th Ave S. and Minnehaha Ave between Lake and 31st St. in South Minneapolis. This event is hosted by El Nuevo Rodeo, La Raza 1400 & 1470 AM, the #1 Spanish Radio in Minnesota, Telemundo MN, affiliate of the largest Hispanic TV Network in the US, and Corona Beer.

The event is from 1 pm-8pm, but the party continues until the wee hours of the morning inside the installations of El Nuevo Rodeo! There are three stages; one on 27th, one on Minnehaha Avenue and the other inside El Nuevo Rodeo, where there will be full menu and live entertainment all day long! Beer gardens full of Corona and Micheladas and food vendors will be in abundance as we Latinos mark the beginning of outdoor events in Minnesota, while honoring the Battle of Puebla in Mexico.

This year we will offer to the public Traditional Mexican Presentations of Folkloric Dance, Mariachi and Aztec Dance, and then popular bands in the line-up including Mexican songstress Carmen Jara, and Polo Urias. In addition, the local talent of Korsel Musical, Blindado Norteño! There will also be tropical and Salsa bands, Malamaña and Rumba Nueva, so bring your dancing shoes!

There will be food and libations from our various vendors and local restaurants. Not only Mexican food will be sold, we are having American and international favorites too, like crepes from Town Talk Diner, roasted chicken and Mango Lassi from Gandhi Mahal!

All members of the community are invited, this is a free event and we hope that you will join us in this celebration of culture, community, music, and cuisine!
