SEATTLE, Wash. – April 18, 2016 – Noble House Hotels & Resorts – a collection of luxury hotels and resorts – is pleased to announce the appointment Christopher Preston as Director of Catering to The Commons Hotel, located close to downtown Minneapolis on the University of Minnesota campus. Preston will oversee the day-to-day operations of the events and catering departments, while maintaining focus on the strategic goals of The Commons Hotel.

With more than 15 years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry, Preston brings a rich background in catering and event management, leadership and sales excellence. Prior to joining The Commons Hotel team, Preston most recently served at The Marquette Hotel in Minneapolis. As senior catering manger, he was accountable for providing complete event management of corporate, wedding and social events, skillfully training members of the catering team and consistently exceeding quarterly sales goals. Throughout his career, Preston has served at luxury hotels and brands such as the Waldorf Astoria, Hotel Ivy and Swissôtel, successfully managing and preparing large-scale events, as well significantly increasing event revenue.
As director of catering, Preston will oversee a wide range of events including large conferences of up to 500 guests, grandiose wedding receptions or galas, and corporate dinners or intimate receptions in The Common Hotel’s 20,000 square feet of flexible event space.
