A New Play Storms the Stage
Embark on a transformative adventure with Naomi Iizuka’s new play The Last Firefly! Boom, the son of Thunder, sets out on an epic search for his father, ultimately discovering his true self and the strength within him that always existed. This play features mature themes and is strongly recommended for ages 8+, learn more about the show here.
Behind the Scenes Spotlight: Deb Shippee
In this month’s Behind the Scenes Spotlight, meet Costume Director Deb Shippee as she describes how costumes are “a vehicle for telling a story.” Renowned costume designer Helen Huang’s costume sketches for The Last Firefly are also featured. Neighborhood Bridges Awarded Grant
In December 2015, Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi Foundation for Children granted CTC’s own Neighborhood Bridges program $50,000 to support the in-school curriculum of six Minneapolis Public Schools. Neighborhood Bridges’ mission is to integrate arts-based teaching techniques to support the development of language and literacy skills. Read the full feature in Robins Kaplan’s Summary of Sharing.
