Preschool Drop-off: Kits & Cubs - Terrific Turkeys
Monday, November 18, from 10 a.m.-noon, at Eastman Nature Center, in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Dayton. Drop off the kids to explore nature in fall. They will discover the natural world through hands-on learning: stories, art, songs, games, play activities, and hikes. A snack is included. Dress to be outside. Doodlebugs
Tuesday, November 19, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., or 1-3 p.m., at Silverwood Park, St. Anthony. Drop off your kids for a whirlwind of fun. Each weeks activities are based on a different childrens book with a nature-inspired art theme. We will spend part of every class exploring what autumn brings to our life-filled wetlands, woods and prairies; then get messy as we cut, paste, paint or sculpt! Dress for the weather and bring a light snack, water bottle, and a bag to keep all your projects together. Sign up for one day or the entire series. Cost is $10 and reservations are required. Holiday Gifts from the Farm - Lip Balms, Soaps, and More!
Thursday, November 21, from 4:30-6 p.m., at Gale Woods Farm, Minnetrista. Just in time for the holidays! Drop off your child to craft handmade gifts with materials from Gale Woods Farm. Stations will be guided by staff and volunteers, but the special touches will be made by your child to share with family or friends for the holidays. Each session will take time to meet the animals and visit the farm. Materials are included in the program fee. Cost is $20 and reservations are required by the Sunday prior to the event. Tuesday, November 19, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., or 1-3 p.m., at Richardson Nature Center, in Hyland Lake Park Reserve, Bloomington. Drop off your kids and investigate fall changes in Hyland Lake Park Reserve. We will end the day by making a craft and having a snack brought from home. Reservations are required. The morning session will be taught in English with an introduction to the Spanish language. The afternoon session is English only. Cost is $10 and reservations are required.
