CAPELLA TOWER TO HOST MILL CITY FARMERS MARKET

MINNEAPOLIS (February 19, 2015) On Thursday, March 5th Mill City Farmers Market moves to downtown Minneapolis Capella Tower for a one-of-a-kind pop-up market with over 20 of its fabulous vendors in a vibrant lunchtime marketplace full of quality, locally produced, homegrown products. From 11 am to 2 pm, visitors and passersby can choose from an assortment of artisanal products and take-home groceries, including farmstead cheese, dry-cured meats, pickled veggies, a selection of vegan meats and cheeses, kitchen utensils, and more! The pop-up market is part of the ongoing transformation of Capella Towers common area into a 21st century collaborative working space, building off of its recent $7 million renovation, completed in November 2014.
Here's a glimpse at participating vendors for the March 5th pop-up market: Ames Farm (honey, beeswax candles), Buffalo by Bike (sustainably raised bison), Crookedwood (handcrafted wooden kitchen utensils), Down in the Valley Bakehouse (gluten-free goodies), Heathglen Farm & Kitchen (award winning jams & jellies), Kiss My Cabbage (kimchi, lacto-fermented veggies), Jeanne Beatrice (handmade baskets), Martha's Joy (pickled vegetables), Red Table Meat Co. (dry-cured salumi), Singing Hills Goat Dairy (goat cheese), Salty Tart (fresh bread and baked goods), The Herbivorous Butcher (vegan meats and cheeses), and Zula Juice (cold-pressed organic juice). Mill City Farmers Market has ongoing Winter Markets inside the Mill City Museum every Second Saturday through April and its 10th Outdoor Season kicks off on Saturday, May 9th!

Mill City Farmers Market: Founded in 2006 by local acclaimed chef and restaurateur Brenda Langton, Mill City Farmers Market has earned a reputation for its promotion and support of local, sustainable, and organic agriculture. Typically located next to the Guthrie Theater and Langton's own Spoonriver restaurant in downtown Minneapolis, the market is making its first voyage to the skyway-connected Capella Tower, right in the heart of downtown Minneapolis!
Capella Tower: Located at 225 South Sixth St., Capella Tower is the states largest office building and is managed by Ryan Companies and leased by CBRE. Capella Towers ground and skyway levels recently underwent a $7M redesign, transforming the space into a next generation working environment for tenants and their guests. The Musicant Group has in turn been retained to program and manage the new space, creating dynamic experiences for tenants and guests get away from the office, while still being productive. Capella Towers common area is space for connections, creating, and collaboration; a place to work and play. The building ownership, management, and leasing team are creating a new type of working environment within the modern office building.
