WHAT: Buddy Valastro, famous for his elaborate cakes and his TLC show Cake Boss has created a three-dimensional birthday cake for the 20th birthday celebration of Mall of America®. The cake stands 8 feet long by 4 feet wide, and depicts all the wonders of the Mall including Nickelodeon Universe®, LEGO, Moose Mountain Golf Course, the magnificent holiday trees and much more.

So much time and energy has gone into this cake, not the mention enormous amounts of ingredients. Check out some fun facts:

Over 50 pounds of flour, 250 pounds of fondant and more than 450 eggs to make this enormous cake

It took seven people four days to finish this amazing creation

Buddy and his crew drove straight through (no stops!) from Hoboken, NJ to Bloomington, MN to make sure the cake was delivered perfectly

Theoretically this cake could feed 2,000 people

Guests are invited to see the masterpiece on August 11 from 11 a.m. 3 p.m. 2,000 pieces of cake from the famous Carlos Bakery will be served at 2 p.m. Pop Rocks Band, a high energy live music show, will bring the party to life providing entertainment for guests throughout the afternoon.
