BROADWAY AT THE ORDWAY ANNOUNCES THREE MORE QUEENS
ST. PAUL, Minn. (Oct. 10, 2019) – The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts announced today the three alternates for the six queens in the Ordway pre-Broadway run of the global hit new musical SIX by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss. Performances begin on November 29 and run through December 22. Tickets and more information available now on Ordway.org.
Courtney Mack, Mallory Maedke, and Nicole Kyoung-Mi Lambert join the Ordway cast of SIX as alternates to the roles of the SIX queens. Mack, Maedke, and Lambert were also part of the sold-out runs at Chicago Shakespeare Theater in Chicago and American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) in Cambridge, MA.
Menomonie native Courtney Mack, who played the role of Katherine Howard in Cambridge, MA and part of the run in Chicago, is excited to debut this production in the Twin Cities. “I’m so happy to be part of the beautiful and empowering production of SIX, and especially thrilled to share this story so close to home with family and friends,” she said.
The SIX cast features Adrianna Hicks as Catherine of Aragon, Andrea Macasaet as Anne Boleyn, Abby Mueller as Jane Seymour, Brittney Mack as Anna of Cleves, Samantha Pauly as Katherine Howard, and Anna Uzele as Catherine Parr.
Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived. From Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, the SIX wives of Henry VIII take the mic to reclaim their identities out of the shadow of their infamous spouse—remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into an exuberant celebration of 21st century girl power. The female cast is backed by an all-female band, the “Ladies in Waiting.” Songs from the studio album are streamed on average 400,000 times per day, making it the second highest streaming cast recording in the world.
Partnering with US Producer Kevin McCollum, the Ordway’s production of SIX follows the North American premiere in May of this year at Chicago Shakespeare Theater in Chicago and American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) in Cambridge, MA, both of which were sold out. The Ordway engagement directly precedes the show’s opening on Broadway.
