Brave New Workshop Theatre Announces 2014 Fall Show:
"The Wolf of Walmart"
Minneapolis, MN -- The Brave New Workshop Theatre (BNW) is pleased to announce the title and cast of its fall show, "The Wolf of Walmart." Previews for the show run July 2 - 10, with opening night on Friday, July 11. "The Wolf of Walmart" runs through November 1. All performances are at the Brave New Workshop Theatre main stage at 824 Hennepin Avenue, Downtown Minneapolis. Tickets for "The Wolf of Walmart" are on sale now at (612) 332-6620 or http://theatre.bravenewworkshop.com/
Never content to follow the pack, the cast of "The Wolf of Walmart" shows its cunning as it hunts down humor in all areas of pop culture, politics, and everyday life, mining it for this all-new collection of sketches and songs. "The Wolf of Walmart" brilliantly showcases the high-risk, high-reward approach to satire that has made BNW famous.
In contrast to other recent BNW shows, "The Wolf of Walmart" will not limit itself to a particular theme. "This show will be a sampler platter of what's crazy in America," says BNW artistic director Caleb McEwen. "No one can agree on the cause, but everyone can agree that things have gotten weird."
"The Wolf of Walmart" will feature BNW cast members Lauren Anderson, Matt Erkel, Bobby Gardner, Tom Reed, and Taj Ruler. The show is directed by Caleb and Katy McEwen. Peter Guertin returns as music director, and Matthew Vichlach will provide technical direction.
