Minneapolis – The Brave New Workshop’s (BNW) Experimental Thinking Centre (ETC) Theatre is thrilled to announce the return of BNW alumni Louie Anderson for a two-night engagement on March 18 and 19.
Anderson, who has been selling out shows in his Vegas residency for years and fresh off his role as Zach Galifianakis’ mother in the new FX show “Baskets” will be bringing his timeless warmth and comedy stylings back to the place where his career began.
In addition to preferred seating for this show, Anderson is also offering VIP ticket holders an all access Q & A session after his stand up performance.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Louie back – it’s been a true honor for us to watch his career unfold, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for his latest success in this groundbreaking role he has brought to life in ‘Baskets,’” says BNW President Earl Mollerud. “I can’t wait to see what Louie brings to our ETC Theatre this time around.”
This is Anderson’s second time appearing in the ETC Theatre since it’s move to this newer location at 824 Hennepin Avenue in 2009.

About The Brave New Workshop
Now in our 55th year of crafting audacious, hilarious, and thought-provoking original comedy, improv and satire in Minneapolis, the Brave New Workshop (BNW) Comedy Theatre is a Twin Cities comedy institution, and a truly unique place to laugh, learn, think, and play. The BNW has been writing, performing and producing original sketch comedy, music and comedy improvisation longer than any other theatre in the United States.
Featuring a comedy and improv theater, a theater space that hosts national acts like Louie Anderson, stand-up comedy (like the Experimental Thinking showcase), podcasts, special shows and more, The Brave New Workshop also works with corporations to offer MC services, video services, keynote speeches, and also houses one of the planet’s leading institutions for the study of improvisation, the BNW Student Union.
