Nickelodeon Universe® celebrates Big Time Rush Month at Mall of America®
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (May 9, 2013) With millions of fans worldwide, Big Time Rush is a double threat: international music sensation and TV superstars.
May 2013 is designated Big Time Rush Month in Nickelodeon Universe®. This month-long event will feature discounts, photo opportunities and free song downloads. The celebration will wrap up with a live Google Hangout interview with the boys of Big Time Rush.
Along with 20 percent discounts on Big Time Rush merchandise from the Nickelodeon stores, guests can purchase the Big Scream Ticket: a 30-point Nickelodeon Universe ride pass for $25. Hungry fans can get a free download code for BTRs latest single, Like Nobodys Around with purchase of a special edition Big Time Popcorn Bucket in Nickelodeon Universe.
Big Time Bash parties will take place Saturdays, 1 3 p.m. throughout the month of May in West Market Square. At each Bash, fans can watch their favorite episodes of the Nickelodeon hit TV show Big Time Rush and get a virtual photo with the boys with a special photo overlay. BTR Sing-Along and Dance Parties will rock Saturday afternoons away with karaoke and dance music.
Fans will get a chance to chat with the boys of Big Time Rush on a live Google Hangout on May 29 at 4:30 p.m. in the Rotunda. Fans across the Midwest will submit photos representing why they are BTRs #1 fan on the Nickelodeon Universe Facebook page in hopes of being selected as one of five fans to ask the band a question on the Google Hangout. Fans can also tweet questions to be asked using the hashtag #Num1RusherContest. The boys of Big Time Rush will answer fan questions, twitter questions and talk about their new season on Nickelodeon. The live chat will be broadcast live on www.nickelodeonuniverse.com and www.youtube.com/officialmoa.
Produced in partnership with Sony Music, Nickelodeons Big Time Rush series chronicles the adventures of four best friends living the dream in Los Angeles, balancing their newfound fame, fans, music and girlfriends. Big Time Rush recently kicked off its fourth season. The series airs regularly Thursdays at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.
Big Time Rush is set to release their highly anticipated third album, 24/seven on June 11th. The release will feature Like Nobodys Around as well as brand new music, appearing on the upcoming season of the show. The band will perform tracks from 24/seven when they hit the road on their Summer Break Tour with fellow Nickelodeon star, Victoria Justice.
