Back by Popular Demand, the Timberwolves and Lynx Pro Shop to Re-Open Today at 11:00 a.m.
Minneapolis/St. Paul - Back by popular demand, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx today announced the re-opening of the Timberwolves and Lynx Pro Shop, located on the skyway level of Target Center. Beginning today, the Pro Shop will be open on weekdays from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on all games days, two hours prior to tip and one hour upon the conclusion of the game. With Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio gear flying off the shelves, Wolves merchandise is up 200 percent over last year.
"With everyone talking about the Timberwolves and the 2012 Lynx season right around the corner, we're very excited to offer our fans another convenient option for purchasing the latest Wolves and Lynx gear," said Ted Johnson, Timberwolves Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications and Chief Marketing Officer. "When we took over merchandising rights inside of Target Center just days before the start of this season, it was always in our plans to re-open the Pro Shop. Once we felt like we could keep up with the demand in the market and were able to provide our fans with the most affordable and best gear, we were going to re-open the doors. We've seen a lot more people in Wolves gear this season and look forward to more of that in the months to come."
Items for sale in the Pro Shop will include Timberwolves jerseys, sweatshirts, T-shirts and hats, as well as Lynx apparel, including 2011 WNBA Championship T-shirts and hats. Vintage Timberwolves attire featuring the original logo will also be sold, and the store will also have a Hardwood Classic section of Minnesota Muskie and Pipers merchandise.
