Swedes celebrate happy hour by going out for an after work, and while you might not have the chance to make it to Stockholm this summer for your own Swedish happy hour, fear not, starting July 3, theres After Work Wednesdays at the American Swedish Institute (ASI)!

Enjoy drink and food specials from ASIs critically acclaimed café, FIKA including a Mystery Beer Bucket (a surprise mix of 6 craft beers for just $13), $3 house red and house white wines. In addition to its full menu, the team at FIKA will offer Nordic inspired bar food like meatballs, herring, and seasonal surprise dishes. Dine outside in ASIs Courtyard tucked between the historic Turnblad Mansion and sleek Nelson Cultural Center.

And as an added After Work bonus, the ASI galleries are open late til 8 p.m., offering the perfect opportunity to explore ASIs many exhibits including the innovative new glass exhibit, Pull, Twist, Blow in the historic Turnblad Mansion.

About the American Swedish Institute

The American Swedish Institute (ASI) is a vibrant arts and culture organization and historic home located at 2600 Park Avenue near downtown Minneapolis. ASI attracts more than 65,000 people each year for tours of the landmark 1908 Turnblad Mansion, exhibits, classes and events that connect the community to contemporary Nordic culture and cultural heritage.
