American Heart Association Go Red for Women event returns to
Mall of America®
WHAT: Heart disease is the number one killer of women in the United States, taking the lives of nearly 460,000 women annually. The American Heart Association Go Red for Women event at Mall of America® will celebrate survivors, remember loved ones and educate all guests about prevention and support.
Heart disease survivors will strut their stuff on the Go Red for Women Runway. Designs by local fashion students, inspired by heart health, survival and the color red, will also be featured on the runway.
Hands Only CPR training will be available to guests at no cost. The Hands Only training is a more affordable and quicker version of the traditional CPR training. This new initiative makes CPR training more convenient for people, ultimately saving more lives.
Other activities include a CorePower Karma yoga class, jump rope demonstrations and a CPR Save Award presentation to the individuals involved with saving Dan Mannon, the skier who collapsed at Afton Alps earlier in January and was resuscitated using CPR and an AED.
