Geared for Cyclists of All Abilities
May 30 at Minnehaha Falls Park
Minneapolis --- Approximately 2,200 cyclists of all ages and abilities will gather on May 30, 2015 at Minnehaha Falls Park to participate in the Twin Cities Tour de Cure, presented by Real Appeal. The Tour de Cure is the signature cycling fundraiser of the American Diabetes Association and this years local event aims to raise $1 million for the cause.
The beauty of the Tour de Cure is that its geared for everyone, says Tour de Cures Local Event Coordinator Janeece Oatman. It is for families, serious cyclists, and everyone in between.
Tour de Cure will host seven routes of different distances: 7-, 18-, 29-, 43-, 62- and 100-mile paved route options; and the new 22-mile off-road route for mountain bikers. Each route is fully supported with themed rest stops, food, beverages, bike mechanics, medics, support and gear (SAG) vehicles, and radio operators.
A festive post-party will be held at the finish line at Minnehaha Falls Park beginning at 11 a.m. (when the majority of the riders are expected to finish.) Riders will enjoy massages, catered lunch, live music, vendors and more at the finish line. Theres even a Schells Beer Garden for the adults and a kids zone for the little ones.
