MINNEAPOLIS, MN January 26, 2015 Acme Comedy Company presents a series of amazing comedians - Fortune Feimster, Carly Aquilino and Maria Bamford who will each take the stage at The Womens Club of Minneapolis this spring.
Lovable Southern comic, Fortune Feimster, began her career in comedy with The Groundlings in 2005. She has appeared on Last Comic Standing and was a writer and performer on Chelsea Lately. Her outlandish and fearless impersonations and characterizations made her wildly popular and garnered a devoted following especially with the gay community. Feimster performs in Minneapolis on Sunday, March 8 at 8pm.
Native New Yorker Carly Aquilino is a stand-up comedian and can be seen on MTVs Girl Code, a strong and smart female driven comedy series with irreverent commentary on the wonders and woes of womanhood. She performs at the Womans Club on Saturday, March 21 at 8pm.
Maria Bamford, Minnesotas girl made good, has been named one of Rolling Stones 50 Funniest People. She is best known for her portrayal of her dysfunctional family and self-deprecating comedy involving jokes about depression and anxiety. Her comedy style is surreal, and incorporates voice impressions of various character types. Maria takes the Womans Club stage on Thursday, April 2 at 8pm.
