Celebrating the Chefs, Advocates and Visionaries Who Make Minneapolis a Must-Visit Destination

Minneapolis (May 7, 2026) – Minneapolis is a city shaped by the people who pour their passion into it – the chefs pushing culinary boundaries, the advocates building more inclusive communities, and the event visionaries who turn a convention or a dinner into something unforgettable. During National Travel and Tourism Week, Meet Minneapolis is proud to shine a spotlight on this year's annual award recipients. These awards honor individuals, meeting planners, businesses, organizations, and/or groups for their contributions to tourism and hospitality in Minneapolis.
“Our honorees represent the innovation, dedication and collaborative spirit that power Minneapolis’ tourism and hospitality industry and its 30,000-plus workers,” said Melvin Tennant, President and CEO of Meet Minneapolis. “Each of them plays a vital role in shaping how visitors experience our city, and together they help define Minneapolis as a dynamic, resilient and welcoming destination for meetings, events and travel.”
