11th annual Red Ribbon Ride opening ceremony returns to Mall of America®
WHAT: Hundreds of bike riders will return to Mall of America® for the opening ceremony of the 11th annual Red Ribbon Ride on Thursday, July 18 at 6:30 a.m.
In an effort to support the fight against HIV/AIDS, the biking participants will begin their four day, nearly 300-mile bike ride from the North Parking Lot at Mall of America.
Riders will bike through Lake City, Rochester and Northfield. They will conclude their ride at the State Capitol in Saint Paul with a closing ceremony on July 21 at 1:30 p.m.
Conducted by Minnesota Fighting AIDS on Bikes (MN-FAB), Red Ribbon Ride will raise funds and awareness for eight Minnesota AIDS service organizations.
Returning this year to the ride is the Decorate your Helmet Day tradition, where the most creatively decorated helmet will win a prize once the bikers reach their evening destination on July 18.
