Then our own First Associate Concertmaster Susie Park performs Gabriela Ortiz’s blazing violin concerto. Finally, Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 3 is sometimes nicknamed “The Fiery Angel,” and you’ll hear why in the work’s intensity, from the opening chords to its haunted ending.
