A celebration of winter in Minneapolis! Taking place from Jan. 30-31 & Feb. 6-7, 2021.
A cross-country ski festival for the whole family! The Loppet features ski races for all ages, skill-levels, and abilities. You’ll find skijoring races, a kubb tournament, a snow sculpture competition, sprint races, ice biking, and more. This is Minneapolis' biggest celebration of winter sports, lights, and artists.
Whether you're joining as a cheerleader or participant, you won't want to miss this annual Minneapolis tradition.

Point to point races will start at Bde Maka Ska and end at Theodore Wirth Regional Park. The Luminary Loppet will take place at Lake of the Isles.
Be sure to experience the popular Luminary Loppet on Saturday, February 5, 2022. The evening will feature 1,200 luminaries perfectly spaced around Lake of the Isles with unique ice features such as the Ice Henge, Fire Dancers, The Spires, Ice-Cropolis, and Ice Music Walk, snowshoe, or ski along candlelit trails on the frozen lake. Refreshments such as hot chocolate, cookies, and s’mores will be offered at tents across the lake. Food trucks, Surly beer, and music are located at the REI Luminary Party. Registration for the Luminary Loppet is now open!
