Trail of Small Wonders Opening Day

Magic comes to Westwood Hills Nature Center! For the fifth enchanting year, St. Louis Park Friends of the Arts in collaboration with the Westwood Hills Nature Center hosts the third Opening Day Festival for the Trail of Small Wonders on Monday, July 7, 4:30 to 8 pm.

The grand unveiling of the Trail of Small Wonders features a miniature world of tiny handmade dwellings for fairies, elves, gnomes and perhaps a few trolls, as well as butterfly stilt walkers, live music, storytelling, face painting, hands-on art stations, and magic and puppet shows.

Come dressed as your favorite woodland character and meander along the ADA accessible trails to explore the enchanting abodes created by people of all ages in the community. You might discover a little home on top of a tree stump, nestled among stones and moss, or hanging from branches.

Westwood Hills Nature Center is located at 8300 West Franklin Ave. St. Louis Park.

Minneapolis City vs Sueno

It's the last home match of the season! Minneapolis City plays host to Chicago's Sueno FC in the curtain call for the USL League Two regular season. Students may be asked to show a student ID at entry. Youth 14 years and under must have an accompanying adult. Kids 6 and under are free.

Join us for a literary wonderland featuring 100 local authors, publishers, bookstores, and crafters all in one place. Whether you're searching for your next favorite read, unique bookish gifts, or just soaking up the cozy book fair vibes, this is an event you won’t want to miss! We are holding it in the Education Building at the State Fair Grounds.

Minnesota Wind Chill vs. Madison Radicals — Professional Men’s Ultimate Frisbee Game

Come cheer on the Minnesota Wind Chill as they take on the Madison Radicals at Sea Foam Stadium in St. Paul!

The Wind Chill are the 2024 UFA Champions, defeating the Carolina Flyers by a score of 17-16 in the Championship Game in Salt Lake City on August 24th, 2024, to secure their first ever title in franchise history. The Wind Chill are heading into their 12th season in the Ultimate Frisbee Association (UFA) in 2025 and have qualified for the playoffs in six of the last seven seasons.

Wind Chill games feature the Stinson Services Sideline Beer Garden, Amazing Scott the Balloon Artist, Face Painting, Multiple Food/Ice Cream Trucks, Yard/Disc Games, and more! Take a photo with our mascot, "Chilly" the Polar Bear! Get post-game autographs with players and throw the Frisbee around with friends on the field after the game.

  • Adults Tickets (Ages +19): $16
  • Youth Tickets (Ages 11-18): $8
  • Kids 10 and Under: FREE!
  • Sideline Beer Garden Upgrade: +$16 (Includes 2 Drinks)

Every adult 21+ in attendance will receive a voucher for a FREE beer at Surly Brewing Company after the game that night during the official post-game party.
