Normally, this blog focuses on Minneapolis. Normally, this blog focuses on how you can shop and dine and play in this city. Normally, this blog focuses on what Minneapolis offers you.
These aren’t normal times, though. And this isn’t a normal blog post.
It isn’t normal because we’re not focusing on Minneapolis. We’re not talking about a burger deal or a new attraction. This isn’t about what a city can do for you.
It’s about what you can do for a city.
That city is Boston.
When a tragedy befalls this nation, we are saddened by the heinous actions of few, but defined by the heroic reactions of many. America has always been about uniting and overcoming, and time and time again we rise up as a whole and answer the call to bring help to those that need it most.
The call has come again, and you can do something about it.
On May 9th, Twin Cities in Motion will put on the Medtronic TC One Mile. This event will be run in honor of Boston, and Twin Cities in Motion will donate 10% of each Medtronic TC One Mile registration fee to the victims of the Boston Marathon attacks. In addition, Twin Cities in Motion will match those contributions in an effort to raise $10,000 total.
One mile. That’s all it takes for you to make a difference.
Be a hero for Boston.
