MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 4, 2011) - The latest feast introduced by various Parasole restaurants, UPTOWN CAFETERIAs new Group Gobble roast turkey dinner for 10 is a celebration of tradition in every way except one:
Its truly delicious, says supervising chef and James Beard Award-winner Tim McKee, Parasole Restaurants VP of Culinary Development. For anyone whos ever suffered through a dry, stringy bird and overcooked sides, thisll restore your faith in Americas classic feast.
It really is the ultimate in comfort food.
Like Thanksgiving Dinner (except we do the dishes).
The key to an outstanding turkey feast, says McKee, is twofold: You need quality great ingredients, carefully prepared and quantity On both counts, McKee and Executive Chef Jeff Anderson deliver:
- A Wild Acres whole roast turkey raised humanely on natural feed, with no chemicals, in Pequot Lakes and delivered farm fresh to our kitchen
- Mashed potatoes with scratch-made turkey gravy
- Toasted pecan and cherry stuffing with sage and garlic
- Green bean casserole with house-made mushroom cream and French-fried onions
- White and orange sweet potatoes with brown sugar and house-made marshmallow
- Sauteed carrots with red onions
- A basket of dinner rolls from our own bakery
- And freshly de-canned Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce our nod to Mom
The Group Gobble can also be augmented with (extra-charge) options including:
- Appetizer platter including port wine cheese and crackers, relish tray, deviled eggs, pigs in a blanket, and more.
- Green salad with dressing caddy
- Whole apple and pumpkin pies baked fresh by pastry chef Adrienne Odom
$200 for 10 people and there WILL be leftovers.
Its a remarkable value, promises Anderson, about $20 a person for a feast most groups would have a very hard time finishing in one sitting. But thats okay. We have plenty of to-go containers for next-day lunches and dinners.

The Group Gobble is available seven days a week, at lunch or dinner, for groups of 10. Additional feasts can be ordered for parties of 20, 30 or more.
Just dont order it for Thanksgiving, adds Schoenberger. Well be closed that day gobbling turkeys of our own.
