Hennepin History Museum hosts a talk: Fireside Chat: Landscapes of Home: Minnesota Yards Past and Present with Ursula Lang.
Minneapolis, MN, April 30, 2015 The Hennepin History Museum hosts a presentation at 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 21st, 2015.
Yards hold more than grass. Urban geographer Ursula Lang of the University of Minnesota brings us on a cultural exploration of the meaning and evolution of yards and the domestic landscape. From the early 1900s, through the 1950s, to the suburban, urban, and rural yards of today, Lang will cover the pertinent sociological and historical issues from front to back.
Fireside Chats are included FREE with museum admission ($5 for adults, $1 children and seniors, free for HHM members).
Limited free parking available on-street and in our rear parking lot. Pay parking is available in the adjacent MIA lot.
