FIRELAKE PRESENTS WILD FISH DINNER WITH MINNESOTA BOUND
(MINNEAPOLIS, MN; August 24, 2018)—FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar Minneapolis Downtown (31 S. 7th St.) is partnering with Minnesota Bound to present a Wild Fish Dinner, featuring six courses of freshwater fish found in Minnesota’s lakes and rivers, on September 27 at 6 p.m. From Smoked Trout with sweet corn crepe and dill crema, to Walleye Roulade with wild rice and cherries, to Great Lakes Sturgeon with braised oxtail, the Wild Fish Dinner is an exploration of Minnesota fish made gourmet.
“The Wild Fish Dinner menu was created with Minnesota fish in mind, but also marrying the dishes with indigenous ingredients,” said Executive Chef Keven Kvalsten. “Cooking with fresh Minnesota fish is always a joy for me.”
Ten percent of the dinner’s proceeds will benefit the Minnesota Fishing Museum and Hall of Fame, a Little Falls-based nonprofit “dedicated to preserving the heritage and history of freshwater fishing in Minnesota.” A representative from the museum will be in attendance to describe their work and mission.
Diners will have the opportunity to meet Chef Kvalsten, as well as Laura Schara from Minnesota Bound. Kvalsten and Schara cohost a wild game cooking segment on Minnesota Bound called “Wild in the Kitchen.”
The dinner is $65 per person and includes wine pairings. Call 612-216-3473 to make a reservation. Reservations are required.
