DIVI LLC To Donate 50 percent of Their Revenue. Which Charities Receive That Money is Up to You.
Just around the corner in the North Loop of Minneapolis is DIVI LLC, a small company with a
big idea. This Twin Cities tech startup will launch the DIVI UP mobile app version 3.0 this spring
with a clear goal in mind. The goal: to donate 50% of their revenue to charitable causes,
selected by people in our community. DIVI UP is poised to be a game changer for local
business owners, the philanthropic community and charitably-minded consumers.
Unlike other daily deal platforms, DIVI UP will promote a #get2give model to ensure that
everyone wins. Businesses get to list their promotions on the app at no cost, making this free
platform a valuable marketing tool. Consumers get to save money on daily purchases and use
their pocketbooks as a force for good.
Each time a consumer unlocks a DIVI Deal from a participating business, DIVI will donate 50%
of that revenue to charitable causes; selected by the app users and business owners. Call it a
cooperative of sorts. Businesses and consumers are able to join forces to support local causes
in a meaningful way.
The potential results are promising. If 20 consumers unlock a DIVI Deal on the app that saves
them each $20, those transactions will automatically generate $30 for charity. Now imagine if 40
people unlock a deal which saves them each $40, and so on. It’s really all about the power in
numbers.
The DIVI UP app is designed to empower people and provide them with an opportunity to
participate in the process of corporate charitable giving. “We believe that everyone has the
power to help shape the way our entire community donates, and there is no better place to
launch this idea than in a philanthropic hub like the Twin Cities”, said Mike Miller, CEO and
Founder.
DIVI is currently partnered with nineteen charitable beneficiaries in the Twin Cities. “We intend
to limit that number in every geographic market in order to have the biggest impact for each
cause partner”, states Pamela Pilsner, Chief Marketing Officer. A full list of charitable partners
will be featured on the diviup.org website.
The passionate team of seven is working diligently to launch DIVI UP version 3.0 in the spring.
