Since its origin in 1934, Weisman Art Museum has been a campus museum for the University of Minnesota. Today, our mission as a university art museum is to create and advance inclusive arts experiences to broaden understanding of ourselves, our communities, and our world. The Weisman is located at 333 East River Road, Minneapolis, on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus. Gallery admission is always free and open to the public. Davis Gallery
Occupancy: 0 - 160
If you're looking for a space to host your ceremony with maximum drama, Davis gallery serves in spades. Brightly colored paintings by contemporary (including local) artists hang on the wall surrounding the space which is punctuated by the permanent installation of the immersive Pedicord Apts (Ed and Nancy Keinholz) and two large-scale ceramic works: Virgil Ortiz's Tahu: Leader of the Blind Archers, and Jun Kaneko's Untitled, 1995. The Davis Gallery has a maximum capacity of 160, depending on setup.

The Dolly Fiterman Riverview Gallery
Occupancy: 0 - 250
With river views and stunning clerestory lighting, this gallery is an ideal spot for a large reception or dinner. It accommodates 150 for dinner and up to 250 for a standing reception.

William G. Shepherd Room
Occupancy: 0 - 370
This carpeted room holds 120 for lecture-style seating as a flat-floor auditorium. It may also be arranged with tables as a meeting space or opened up to become part of the adjacent Riverview Gallery for large dinners and receptions. The capacity of the combined spaces is up to 270 for a seated dinner and up to 370 for a reception.

Woodhouse Gallery
Occupancy: 0 - 100
For a smaller ceremony, the Woodhouse Gallery offers a space with slightly lower ceilings and a more intimate experience. Woodhouse showcases Modern art including the work of Jim Denomie, George Morrison, and Louise Nevelson. The Woodhouse gallery holds a maximum capacity of 100, depending on setup.
