Walls of Wonder and Fluttering Forms: Exploring Abstraction in the Works of Yoshida Hodaka and Chizuko
Join us for a talk by Monika Hinkel and explore how Yoshida Hodaka and Chizuko each use their medium to express modernist ideas. Hodaka’s wall series contrasts with Chizuko’s lyrical, abstract works featuring musical and organic motifs. Although married and working within similar mediums, their artistic visions diverge significantly. The discussion highlights how they channel personal creativity and modernist influences into distinct yet complementary visual styles.
